                   The reconstructed house was built from the

                   original plans on the original foundation. It was

                   built according to the plans of the second house

                   occupied by George and Libbie Custer, rebuilt

                   in 1874 after their first home burned down.

 

                   You can almost see George and Libbie on the

                   porch, as the horses graze on the hill to the right.
