Dakota Bison
5 X 7 actual photograph notecard. Bison herds can
still be seen today in North Dakota at the North and
South Units of Theodore Roosevelt National Park,
Sully's Hill National Game Preserve (Devils Lake,
ND), Cross Ranch State Park (Washburn/Hensler,
ND), and the National Buffalo Museum (Jamestown,
ND).
This photo was taken in the South Unit of Theodore
Roosevelt National Park. The herd peacefully grazes
on the native grass and wildflowers, but seconds
later, the two bison on the knoll go head to head to
gain supremacy of the herd.
