Pony Express

The sign says it all for the type of men the
Pony Express were looking for. The riders
rode full speed from station to station, mounting
and dismounting their horses on the run to get
the mail to its destination quickly. The riders were
in constant danger from Road Agents, Indians, and
any common thief looking for some loot. The Pony
Express was only in existence for a year and a half
until the telegraph was invented, thus eliminating the
need for young men to put their lives in danger.
